Every person has value. Every life counts.

Each person has a story. Each person has a voice.

On my site, you might find humorous videos, posts of celebrity encounters or adventures and thoughts on media, culture and world events.

Some of you may know me from Soul Check TV, a TV show I host and produce. Others may have stumbled upon this blog along your journey. More may by family and friends. So however you came across my blog, thank you for reading!

So why the name Sarah Seriously? A few reasons. First my name is Sarah. Seriously. Also, I also like to find the humor in life and take some things not so seriously, like some of my videos. (If you watch one of those, you’ll know what I mean!) But sometimes I take things seriously. Where I’m actually being serious. Like with what’s most important in life. You’ve got to take those things seriously, right?

I want to help people find meaning, purpose, direction and answers in life. Because you can find them. If you look hard enough. You can have peace and hope and joy in this life. It is possible. If you haven’t found them yet, I’m glad you came here.

May you be inspired, encouraged, give thought, consider, weigh the words and be impacted positively. Hope you find some of the stories entertaining and laugh at some of the videos. And may you remember the words that are most important.

If you only know one thing is life, the most important is this: “For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life,” – Jesus (John 3:16). (Keeping reading to find out more.)

Hopefully you will all see the love God has for you and how much He wants to have a relationship with you. Truly believe God created each one of us and has a purpose for every life. That includes you.

Definitely on my blog you’ll find posts about God, His Word and faith in Him. My desire is to follow Christ on this journey called life. To pursue Jesus and His Word. To know Him more and experience the abundant life He died on the cross to give us. To enjoy life and bless and encourage others along the way. Jesus is my Lord and Savior and I love Him. I’m so thankful to know Him. Looking forward to spending eternity with Him.

Hopefully you too will know the love God has for you and choose to put your faith in Jesus for salvation and forgiveness of sins, which Jesus made possible by dying on the cross for our sins and rising from the dead. Here’s how:

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes…” (Romans 1:16).

The Gospel is this: God created us and loves us. Sadly, sin came into the world and separated us from God. God doesn’t want us to be separated from Him because He loves us. So God sent His Son Jesus Christ into this world to save us. Jesus lived a perfect, sinless life on earth. Jesus died on the cross for our sins and rose from the dead on the third day. He paid our debt. To reconcile us to God and give us the life God wants us to live. To give us salvation, forgiveness and eternal life. So now through Jesus, we can come to God to have a relationship with Him. Anyone can believe and be saved. Anyone can give their life to God and ask Jesus to be Lord of their life. Anyone can do it right now. Including you.

“If you declare with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. As Scripture says, ‘Anyone who believes in him will never be put to shame.’ For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile—the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him, for, ‘Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved,'” (Romans 10:9-13).
Think you’re a good person or not? Doesn’t matter. We all need Jesus as Lord of our lives. This life on earth is not all there is and time on earth will not last forever. (Just like the Titanic.) There is life after death. Heaven and Hell. Tragically, by default because of Adam’s sin, people are set on the path for Hell. People are not meant for Hell. That’s why Jesus came! To rescue us! It’s God’s will that people be saved. It’s God’s will that none should perish. God wants you to enjoy heaven. God created you to enjoy Heaven. This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth. For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all people…” (I Timothy 2:3-6).
Jesus paid the price for redemption, for life with God in Heaven, which He offers to us freely! Nothing you ever do can earn your way to Heaven. Nothing you can ever do will buy your way to Heaven. Being a good person, a decent person doesn’t do it. Good works won’t cut it. Only what Jesus has done for us. Jesus is the only way! “Jesus answered, ‘I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me,'” (John 14:6). All you need is faith in Jesus and to make Him Lord of your life. To believe.
This righteousness is given through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference between Jew and Gentile, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. God presented Christ as a sacrifice of atonement, through the shedding of his blood—to be received by faith. He did this to demonstrate his righteousness, because in his forbearance he had left the sins committed beforehand unpunished— he did it to demonstrate his righteousness at the present time, so as to be just and the one who justifies those who have faith in Jesus,” (Romans 3:22-26).
“For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God,” (I Corinthians 1:18).
Come to Jesus. Pray to God and ask Him to save you! Make Jesus the Lord of your life!
Why am I telling you this? Because I care about you. Because it’s the MOST important thing I can ever tell you. If I can only tell you one thing, this is it.

Sincerely (and seriously),
